“Raya U.D. started classes at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Insitute (RIMYI) when he was 10 years old. In 1998, he performed asanas as part of Guruji’s (BKS Iyengar) 80th birthday celebrations. At that point in time, Guruji told him to learn, study and practice. By the age of 20, he was teaching the Children’s class at the RIMYI. Raya obtained a B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy. With Guruji, he traveled to Russia in 2009 and China in 2011. He was part of Geetaji’s entourage to Australia in 2009, the SA Conference in 2011, and China in 2014. He currently teaches regular general classes at the RIMYI and also is a teacher in medical classes.”

“YOGA for Unity and Well-being – 100-day towards IDY 2021” is a
comprehensive Yoga program launched on 14th of March
with contribution & collaborations from AYUSH, UN (Information Center) SVYASA,
Patanjali, AUI (Associations of Indian Universities), with Shri Ram
Chandra Mission.

The program runs for 100 days prior to the International Day of Yoga 2021
(IDY). On the 21st of June 2021, we will be celebrating IDY in a big way
for national and international guests and the 100 days.
